Every sign is custom fabricated in our Design shop by in-house employees. From the hand selection of each individual board to the woodworking, layout, blasting and painting, each step of the process is controlled by professionals who understand this business. "In-house" manufacturing assures you of our attention to all of the details - an assurance that adds up to the highest quality product for you.

As design professionals we offer one of the widest variety of type styles, graphics and color selections available in the market today. We're always available to give you creative input which will result in outstanding signage for your business. If your company has an established theme or logo, we can incorporate it into an aesthetically pleasing, yet functional sign. If not, we can create a custom design for you. We are fully computer integrated with state-of-the-art design software, and we like to say "If you can sketch it on paper, we can custom blast it on a sign." Our sign makers are truly artists. From the woodworking team that carefully chooses the panel of wood for your sign, to our designers, to our layout artist, to our sandblaster, to our detail artist who can custom paint nature scenes to look lifelike.

We realized years ago that even the most meticulously crafted sign is worthless unless the best materials are used. We search for the best kiln-dried, clear heart redwood and cedar with continuous vertical grain. Every piece is inspected as it arrives at the warehouse. You will never see a finger joint in a piece of our redwood. Our standard thickness is nominal 2" and other sizes can e fabricated upon request.

From a manufacturing standpoint, every sign and blank is custom manufactured, yet we provide some of the quickest turn around in the industry. In addition, Capitol's shop is large enough to adjust to the most stringent time frame on your RUSH orders.

Not only do we use different abrasives for different substrates and levels of detail, we also adjust blasting pressures as necessary to insure neat, clean edges on the most complex graphic designs.

If you have a large order, don't panic, just call us. Due to the equipment and production efficiencies of the Capitol Design facility, we can handle the largest orders and we can ship to you in stages for ease of installation.

Sam always strives to produce a perfect sign. But if unique circumstances result in a flaw, we're always available to correct the problem. We do request that you contact us before doing any additional work on the sign.

The custom nature of this facet of our business requires a 50% deposit on all orders. The balance must be prepaid or C.O.D. Our Customer Service department is prepared to handle these arrangements for you in an efficient, professional manner. Currently, all orders are shipped F.O.B. from our facility in Columbia, SC. Be sure to thoroughly inspect your shipment upon arrival.
